Kingdom Rush 6 Genesis dual heroes — Gerald & Zefira
What this gets you: Field two heroes per stage. Demo pairing rules for Gerald Lightseeker and Zefira the Battlemage — not a KR5 Alliance copy.
Written for patch demo-2026-09 · 2026-09-15Run order
- Equip both demo heroes before a campaign stage
- Park Gerald on the primary choke with Knights Order
- Send Zefira to the opposite fork or mid-path clumps
- Stagger deaths so both portraits are not down at once
Where this comes from
| First-party | Steam feature copy and official Genesis site — 12 heroes, two per stage. Games Press 2026-06-15 demo kit names Gerald and Zefira. Ironhide hero Devlogs |
| Our own runs | Dual-hero HUD frames at Arcane Academy and Western Wall from the 2026-09-15 illustrated pack. |
| Unknown | Remaining 10 of 12 hero names and unlock order; exact ability names, cooldowns, and respawn timers; whether Silveroak Alleria counts toward the two equipped heroes. |
Steam and the official Genesis site state the full game has 12 heroes and that you play with 2 heroes in each stage. The Steam/mobile demo ships the opening pair: Gerald Lightseeker and Zefira (Games Press demo feature list; Ironhide hero Devlogs). Roster cards live on the heroes hub.

Dual-hero rules (confirmed)
- Bring two heroes into the same stage (Steam feature copy; official site “Field two heroes per stage”).
- Position them on separate lanes when possible so one blocks while the other covers leaks or priority targets.
- Hero portraits sit on the battle HUD beside equipped spells (Steam screenshots / demo footage).
- Ten additional heroes beyond the demo pair are unlisted here until official unlock order is shown in-game.

Demo hero table
| Hero | Title / role | Combat focus (official) | Unlock note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gerald Lightseeker | Paladin / main hero | Melee frontliner with Sword of Elynie and shield; holds the line and inspires allies (Devlog #2). | Starting / main campaign hero |
| Zefira | Battlemage | Close-range battle sorceress; summons energy weapons (swords, spears, hammer) rather than tower-style distant casting (Devlog #3). | Second hero unlocked in the game (Devlog #3); present in demo |

Pairing the demo duo
| Lane job | Gerald | Zefira |
|---|---|---|
| Primary choke | Park with Knights Order to double the block. | Roam to the opposite fork or mid-path clumps. |
| Priority targets | Tank armored / melee packs. | Burst close-range threats that slip past barracks. |
| Death downtime | Keep them staggered — both dying at once opens two lanes. Exact respawn timers are not locked here. | Keep them staggered — both dying at once opens two lanes. Exact respawn timers are not locked here. |
Stage hero callout (Silveroak)
On the Silveroak Village stage, Ironhide Devlog #6 states Alleria joins as a Stage Hero defending her forest and does not leave with Gerald’s party. Treat that as a stage-bound ally, separate from the two equipped campaign heroes.
Modes that change the hero count
| Mode | Heroes |
|---|---|
| Campaign / Iron / Blitz | Two equipped heroes (demo: Gerald + Zefira) |
| Spell Rush | No heroes — towers and spells only |
| Hero Party | Four heroes, no spells (full-game mode; not claimed as demo-default) |
| Classic Mode | One hero plus Reinforcements and Rain of Fire (anniversary mode; announced for Genesis) |

Still unknown
- Remaining 10 of 12 heroes: names, roles, unlock order.
- Exact ability names, cooldowns, respawn timers for Gerald / Zefira.
- Whether Stage Hero Alleria (Silveroak) counts toward the two equipped heroes or is purely stage-bound.
