How heroes work in Genesis
Genesis fields two heroes on every stage. Demo confirms Gerald Lightseeker (paladin) and Zefira (battlemage). Spell Rush removes heroes entirely.
- Demo playable heroes: Gerald Lightseeker and Zefira the Battlemage (Ironhide hero Devlogs #2–#3; Games Press 2026-06-15).
- Full roster target: 12 epic heroes (Steam feature list).
- Hero Party mode uses four heroes and no spells; Spell Rush uses no heroes.
- Silveroak Village Stage Hero Alleria is stage-bound and does not leave with Gerald’s party (Devlog #6).
- Exact skill-tree node names, cooldowns, and respawn timers are held until a checked HUD capture lands.

Hero unlock stars (Steam)
Gerald is yours from the start. Every other hero joins once your total stars reach the number below. Two community wikis both give every value below. A community guide's hero tier list matches the eight heroes it includes (Malik through Ashbite), so Zefira, Bolin and Connor rest on those two sources only. On iOS and Android, several of these heroes are in-app purchases instead of star unlocks.
Patch 1 is live · Patch 1 went live on Steam on 7 October 2026. It lowered 15 star unlocks (Drakkan 80 to 54) and heroes need 40% less XP to reach level 10. The first column is the value listed before the patch; the second is the official Patch 1 value where the notes list one. Last checked 2026-10-12.

Chapter titles from the Funny Kingdom All-Hero Challenge (2026-09-27) plus creator tags. Names with a page are linked; the rest are named in gameplay frames only; abilities and numbers are not confirmed. Official Devlog #29 also locks the 12-name marketing list.

Aspect of Sol appears on post-launch HUD frames and is now expanded with qualitative TYPE on /spells and its own spell page — cooldown and damage numbers still unknown.
